Objectifs pédagogiques
RCC-CW was published in 2010 and 2012 as ETC-C for EPR nuclear power plant. The most recent RCC-CW editions (2015 to 2019) can be applied to PWR projects.

TRAINING OBJECTIVE: This training session explains the objectives and the applicability of a nuclear code for civil works and give an overview of the content of the RCC-CW. The purpose of this 1-day training course is to introduce and outline the AFCEN RCC-CW codes.

Introduction to the training session
Presentation of AFCEN :
– organization, members
– AFCEN CW codes and publications
General introduction to the RCC-CW/ETC-C
– main objectives and relevant structures
– the 3 parts
– links with the safety report
– differences with traditional codes
– others codes (ASMES, etc…)
Design basis / Design extension
Introduction with Construction Part :
– Earthworks and soil treatments
– concrete
– reinforcement and prestressing systems
– Mechanical and leaktighness tests of the containment
Metal part :
– anchorages, steel liners
Public
Senior Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer or Project Manager who intend to work on a nuclear project and who want to understand the purpose of a nuclear code for civil works and who want to have an overview of its content.
Pré-requis
This one day training ”general introduction” is recommended to attend ETC-C and RCC-CW ”design” and ”construction” courses.
Pédagogie
-Questionnaire d’autopositionnement (prérequis, expériences, attentes), fil rouge assuré par le coordinateur expert ou un référent de PFC, temps d’interaction avec le(s) expert(s) et les apprenants, apports théoriques et méthodologiques, illustrations concrètes, exemples d’application, étude de cas, quiz, retour d’experience.
